USER EXPERIENCE
The herb peeler dish had been a core product for Modern Sprout for several years. I redesigned the dish to be larger and added a grater on the bottom of the bowl so users could now use the dish for more than just peeling herbs. The dual function peel and grate allows users to make fresh dressings and dips using one tool.
After spending years using garden jars, I decided to revamp the instructions for the relaunch in 2024. The previous instructions were wordy with very little icons. Users were confused and tips were mixed in among the steps. We included icons for each step. We also separated the tips from the step-by-step instructions and created a Field Guide section on the back for further learning while keeping the instructions clear and easy to follow.
In order to ensure the proper POP for the new confetti poppers, we setup a test rig to analyze the experience of popping. We measured how far the ammunition flew and how many pops it took to empty the tube. This left us with the optimal fill amount for the best pop experience.
